Tap "Join Knotvia", fill in your name, a unique username, email, mobile number and a password of at least 6 characters. Confirm you are 13 or older and agree to the Terms, and we will email you a 6-digit verification code. Enter the code to finish — you are in.

First check your spam/junk folder and that the email address you typed is correct. On the sign-up page you can request a new code — old codes stop working when a new one is sent. Codes expire after 30 minutes.

On the login page choose "Forgot password", enter your account email, and we will send a reset token. Open the Reset Password page, paste the token, and choose a new password. Resetting your password signs you out on all other devices.

Go to Settings → Account to request an email change (we send a confirmation code to the new address) and Settings → Security to change your password with your current one.

Settings → Account offers both. Deactivation hides your account until your next login, which reactivates it. Deletion is permanent: type DELETE, confirm with your password, and your posts, comments and Reels are removed and your profile is anonymised.

Yes. Settings → Account → "Download my data" gives you a JSON file with your profile, posts, comments, Friends, Reels and message metadata.

You choose. Every post has an audience: Public (everyone), Friends only (your accepted connections) or Only me. You can set a default audience in Settings, and make your whole account private so only your Friends see your posts and profile details.

Open their profile (or your chat with them) and choose Block. A blocked person cannot message you, see your posts or interact with you, and any friendship between you is removed. Manage blocked people in Settings → Blocked.

Settings → Notifications lets you switch each type on or off: Friends, reactions, comments, mentions, messages and challenges. Admin announcements always arrive so you never miss something important.

Text, photos, videos and voice posts from the composer on Home. Use #hashtags to join topics and @mentions to tag people. Posts that break the Community Guidelines may be held for moderation review before appearing.

Every day brings a new challenge (shown on Home). Post with its hashtag to join and earn +15 points. Show up every day to grow your streak — your flame counter on Home and your profile.

You earn points for posting, Reels, reactions and comments you receive, adding Friends and joining challenges. Points raise your level from New Member to Knotvia Legend, and milestones earn badges shown on your profile. Each week, the top scorer becomes Knot of the Week.

Reels are short vertical videos (up to about 60 seconds). Open the Reels tab — the For You feed learns what you watch. Tap + New Reel to share your own. You can like, comment, share, gift Stars and even React / Duet with a Reel.

Reels accept common video formats (MP4/WebM) up to the size limit, and very long videos are refused. If the file is fine, check your connection and try again.

A Live Room is a live voice or video room. Anyone can start one with a topic; others join to listen, chat by text, and hold the Talk button to speak — voice clips play live for everyone in the room. The host can end the room at any time.

Your browser needs microphone permission for the Knotvia site. Check the address-bar/site settings and allow the microphone, then rejoin the room. Voice clips work best with short presses of the Talk button.

Use the ••• menu on any post, or the Report button on a profile. Pick a category — spam, harassment, hate speech, violence, sexual content, scam/fake or other — and add a short note. Our admin team reviews every report.

The report goes to the admin moderation queue. Admins can dismiss it, remove the content, warn the member or ban the account. Serious content may also be held automatically for review.

Use the Contact page with the "Ban appeal" topic, from the email on your account, and explain what happened. Appeals are reviewed by the admin team.

Pages are public profiles for shops, brands and communities. Follow a Page to see its posts in your feed, and open its Shop to order products by message — no payments happen inside Knotvia. Anyone can create a Page from the Pages section.

A Channel is your home for Long Videos and Reels — friends Subscribe to it. Playlists group the videos and Reels of a Channel in order and play them one after another automatically. Creators see views, watch time and subscribers in the Creator Studio.

Long Videos are videos up to about 30 minutes with a title, description and your own thumbnail. They live in the Long Videos section and on Channels. Knotvia remembers where you stopped — find them under Continue Watching and History.

Add a poll to a post from the composer (Poll button): a question and 2 to 4 options. Everyone can vote once and see live percentages. You can also add an expiry of up to 30 days.

Gift Stars to a post, Reel or video you love using the gift button. Stars come out of your points balance and go to the creator — it is appreciation only, never real money, and you can never go below zero points.

Video Call is a new 1-to-1 video feature marked BETA. It is being tested with a small group first (the admin, the original demo accounts, and accounts the admin enables). If you do not see the Video Call button yet, your account has not been enabled — that is normal during the beta.

Events are gatherings you can create with a date and place. Friends RSVP Going or Interested and get a reminder before it starts. Memories brings your own old posts back on Home on the day they were posted.
